Dr Paul Hernandez-Martinez and Professor Tony Croft.
I started my PhD studies in October 2014 under the supervision of Dr Paul Hernandez-Martinez and Professor Tony Croft. Prior to this I studied for a BSc in Mathematics (2011) and a MSc in Didactics and Methodology of Mathematics (2014) both at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
I have been working as a private mathematics tutor; as a secondary mathematics teacher for learning support; and, voluntarily in a non-governmental organisation in Greece. My teaching included Algebra and Geometry at the secondary level. As an undergraduate student I have carried out my work placement at the Mathematics Education Centre working as an associate researcher.
My PhD is focused on the transition from high school to university mathematics. I am interested in studying first year undergraduate mathematics students during their transition to the department of mathematics.
