Vote for Maths student Molly in this year's Placement Student Awards!

The Loughborough University’s Placement Student Awards are now open for voting and our BSc Mathematics and Management student Mollie Kilpatrick is one of the finalists.

As usual, winners will be decided by public vote so we encourage everyone to show their support for Mollie who has been nominated in the Private Sector (over 1,000) category for her highly successful placement with IBM.

During her placement year Mollie joined IBM as a Research Consultant, supporting the company’s Workforce Science and Analytics division which delivers HR solutions for its clients. Described by her IBM supervisor as “exceptional”, Mollie was nominated for the Women of the Future Rising Star Award 2017 in recognition of her contributions to the company and commitment to its community Give Back scheme.

The year in industry is an excellent way for students to gain practical experience that will help their CVs stand out in the competitive market for graduate jobs. Sometimes, as in Mollie's case, it is a way to secure a firm job offer ahead of graduation. She has already accepted a graduate role with IBM as a Financial Consultant.

The School of Science and the Department of Mathematical Sciences is incredibly proud of Mollie and we hope you will vote for her and share her story using #LboroPSA18.

Voting closes at midnight on 12 June. To read more about Mollie's placement and register your vote, click the link.
