Professor Robin hudson receives Doctorate from University of Lodz
It is with great pleasure that we announce that Professor Robin Hudson has recently been rewarded with a Doctorate from the University of Lodz in Poland.
Professor Hudson has made contributions to many aspects of the mathematics of quantum theory. His pioneering work jointly with Parthasarathy has led to the creation and development of quantum stochastic calculus. A special issue of Communications on Stochastic Analysis (Vol. 4, No. 4, December 2010) was dedicated to him on the occasion of his seventieth birthday.
Professor Hudson has been in our Department from 2005 as a part-time Professor until very recently and now acts as a Visiting Professor in our Department. He took part in the last RAE (2008) with us as a part of our pure mathematics submission. He made very valuable contributions to the Department in many aspects including, not limited to, research, teaching and enhancing the thriving research environment in mathematics and its applications.
Many congratulations to Professor Hudson for this honourable and deserved award.
