Full profile

I graduated from Loughborough with a BEng in Materials Engineering in 2003 and immediately joined Jaguar’s Graduate Programme. After 2 years on the scheme I became a Senior Engineer in Materials Engineering working on the XK programme, amongst other projects.

In 2008 I began in my current role focussing on developing and implementing new materials technologies for the Body Structure. This involves working closely with many areas of the business, including Research, CAE, Advanced Manufacturing and Body Engineering, as well as external suppliers.

One of the highlights of working at JLR is having opportunity to make a key contribution to exciting new vehicle projects. Having been part of the team that developed the recently launched XJ, it’s fantastic to see the product on the road and people’s reactions to it, knowing that you been part of its creation.

My time at Loughborough was invaluable in preparing me for a career in Materials Engineering. The mix of technical content and development of soft skills that the course provided have been essential in my career.
