Background
After graduated in Chemical Engineering from Kasetsart University in Thailand, Patthrapa pursued her MSc at Loughborough University (2006 - 2007) and has been working with Minelco Limited as a polymer technologist (Oct 2007 – present).

Outline of main research interests
- Mineral fire retardants (particularly huntite, hydromagnesite, aluminium hydroxide, and magnesium hydroxide).
- Mineral fillers for polymers.

Patthrapa is an employee of Minelco Ltd, based within the Department of Materials.
Minelco Ltd is part of the Minelco Group. They mine, process, and supply minerals to a wide range of industries including the polymer industry. Minelco have had a long standing relationship with the Department of Materials, through sponsorship of student projects and currently have two employees permanently based within the department to carry out R&D and technical support work for Minelco.
