Qualifications
- BSc in Chemical Engineering, Loughborough University of Technology, 1978
- PhD in Metallurgy, Sheffield University 1987
Current teaching responsibilities
- MPP160 - Plastics Processing and Properties
- MPP233 - Science and Technology of PVC
Outline of main research interests
New additives for improving the processing and properties of PVC with particular emphasis on the latter, ie, additives for flame retardancy and smoke suppression. Improving the control of laser sintering of polymers through better understanding of the physical and mechanical properties of polyamide materials currently used in said process.
