Amazing new facilities opening 2016/2017

New and existing students studying Materials at Loughborough will benefit from over £20M of investment in state of the art new facilities including laboratories, pilot processing, workshop, CAD, rapid prototyping and IT suites. Along with STEMLab, a completely new purpose built facility close to the department, a £4M investment is being made to the facilities within the Chemical Engineering and Materials Building itself.

STEMLab building

Centrepiece of the project is the £17M STEMLab building due to open mid 2017. This is a purpose built development just a stone’s throw from the department, housing new engineering, physics, chemistry, materials and bio laboratories forming a truly cutting-edge learning facility. Read more
