A key aim of the project was to foster the development of a Performance Management Resource. This is a guide for staff, with information about the collection and application of data. It covers all areas of the County Library and Information Service and includes such details as:-

•  How statistics are collected and used

•  How the data analysis can be accessed to help a member of staff plan an activity or expand an area of service development

•  Tools to help evaluate, such as project planning templates

The resource is made available to all staff via the LCLIS Intranet, and will be updated regularly. It is hoped that it will become an important aid for managers in their decision making, bids for funding and service development.
