Privacy in the digital library environment

Description:

The project surveyed:
• The quantity and nature of personal information held in library digital information systems;
• The types of personal information digitally archived by libraries;
• Practices adopted by libraries in relation to user privacy;
• Levels of concern felt by library users regarding personal data.
The project developed a set of guidelines for good practice.
