Personal profile
Graduated from Loughborough University in 1999 with a degree in Chemistry, Physical Education and Sports Science.
Followed a PGCE course in Secondary Science and achieved QTS. Taught in a co-educational independent boarding school for 8yrs teaching Chemistry KS3-5; Biology KS3; Music KS3; Physiology (PE) KS5.
Mentored PGCE trainee teachers and was the Initial Teacher Training Co-ordinator as well as being the Primary-Secondary School Link. MPhil completed on pupils' attitudes towards science in 2008.
Moved to Loughborough University to lecture on the PGCE Science programme in July 2008.

- Science/design and technology/physical education trainee teachers' well-being during teaching practice and also during their early years of teaching
