Personal profile

Rachel graduated with a BA(Hons) in Education with British Psychology Society Graduate Basis for Registration. She joined the Transport Safety Research Centre in 2004 as a Data Collection Assistant for the Cooperative Crash Injury Study (CCIS) and in 2007 became a Research Assistant.

Rachel has contributed to a range of European Commission supported and Department for Transport sponsored projects. She has assisted in the development of recommendations for transparent and independent road investigations in the European Union and the analysis of the causes of road traffic crashes as part of the SafetyNet project.

Rachel has also assisted with the development of questionnaires and subsequent analysis to assess the impact of the Mobility Centres (Driving assessment) in the UK.

Rachel is currently involved with a variety of research activities relating to naturalistic driving; road safety policy making processes in Europe and the journey to work for the older workforce.

Rachel is also a graduate member of the British Psychological Society.
