BSc Psychology, MSc Ergonomics, PhD in 'Design for All: methods and data to support designers'.
Research associate since 1999 working on projects concerned with increasing accessibility and usability of products and services, including activities of daily life, public transport and kitchens, including working directly with older and physically impaired people as well as industry partners and design professionals.
Teaching
Informal tutorials and support to undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students, involvement with Universal Design module and anthropometry practicals.

- Design for All
- Disability, ageing, product design, transport
Experience of research in ageing and disability, and applying this to product and transport design. I have been involved in close collaboration with design professionals, transport planners and older and physically impaired people.
My research includes the development of methods and collection of data to support 'design for all' / inclusive design.
Current research projects include; investigating the use of kitchens over the life course and in older age, and the information needs of transport users, both before and during journeys.
