Design School iD Card is selected as a finalist for Design Excellence Awards

A development of a design aid, the iD Card, involving of Loughborough Design School, has been selected by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) as a finalist for the 2011 Industrial Design Excellence Awards.
The Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) has announced that the Design School's iD Cards have been selected as a finalist in the 2011 Industrial Design Excellence Awards. Previous finalists in the Awards include the Apple iPhone and Herman Miller Aeron chair.
iD Cards define the sketches, drawings, models and prototypes used during new product development; when they are used; and for what types of information. With graphic design by Dr Mark Evans and artwork by Dr Eujin Pei, 11000 copies of the iD Cards are in use by schools, universities and designers worldwide.

Winners will be announced on 20 April 2011.
