Marks and Spencer Christmas crackers designed by Design School student
17 November 2012
Christmas crackers designed by a Design School student have gone on sale at Marks and Spencer following success in a national design competition.
Chloe Tuck won the ‘Gifted?’ competition with her unique idea for a cracker based on the classic novel ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens, and its main character Ebenezer Scrooge
The crackers, appropriately designed like a Humbug, contain a 'name that tune' style game where players must try to communicate the title of a song without actually saying anything or singing the lyrics.
Chloe, a third year Industrial Design course student, was invited to finalise and produce the crackers with Tiger Print Studios, which manage and produce the gifts and cards for Marks and Spencer. She was also offered two weeks work experience at the studio and awarded a cash prize.
