10. Internationalising Higher Education Framework, Natalie Tebbett, Postgraduate Researcher.

In July 2014, the Higher Education Academy – the country’s leading institution for teaching and learning in higher education – launched its ‘Internationalising Higher Education Framework’. With an increasingly globalising labour market requiring graduates to possess intercultural competences, higher education institutions are placing greater emphasis on producing students with global souls, rather than graduates who are parochial of mind.

This booklet was designed to enhance the contribution and impact of individuals in internationalising UK higher education, by providing contextualised examples of how to incorporate a global and intercultural dimension into the content of the curriculum.

My research explores one aspect of internationalising higher education, by examining the contribution of migrant academics to the internationalisation of the curriculum and to promoting intercultural understanding.
