Welcome to the website for the Systems Engineering Doctorate Centre (SEDC).
The Centre is located at Loughborough University, but is a consortium involving four other institutions, the University of Bath, Queen’s University Belfast, University of Leicester and the University of Strathclyde.
The Centre is the home of the Engineering Doctorate (EngD) in Systems Engineering. The EngD is a four-year postgraduate award intended for the UK's leading research engineers who want a managerial career in industry. Students (Research Engineers) can register with any Research University in the consortium, and will undertake core training at Loughborough University and optionally the University of Bath in year 2.
The Centre is now recruiting highly motivated, qualified engineers. Research Engineers are fully funded, receiving a generous stipend (for permanent UK residents). Arrangements can be made for company employees, please contact the Centre for further details.
