Abstract
Interoperability management for large scale enterprises is a project for the exploitation of research conducted under the NECTISE programme in the area of interoperability and transferring the related interoperability concepts and principles into a vision of BAE Systems Executive Interoperability Capability (EIC), in the context of their Capability Engineering activity model.
In the context of capability management and engineering efforts within BAE Systems, a capability engineering activity model is developed. The KTA project is providing a set of principles, approaches, guidelines, a case study and inputs to training material that will illustrate how the Capability Engineering activity model can, when deployed, address interoperability at different levels, such as enterprise, systems of systems, platforms, sub-systems. Interoperability of other aspects - processes, services and information - will also be considered.
