Aero Engine Controls (Aero Engine Controls)
Aero Engine Controls (AEC) design and manufacture many components of the Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) system for aircraft engines. The FADEC is responsible for the control and safety of the jet engine during operation. AEC's products include fuel pumps, metering valves and the central computing platform known as the Electronic Engine Controller (EEC). The company provide FADEC components for a large number of civil and military engines including many in the Rolls-Royce Trent family. The company is a 50-50 joint venture between Goodrich Engine Control Systems and Rolls-Royce plc.
