Chloe Long is a 3rd year PhD student studying bioacoustics, the main area of research being the acoustic interaction of bat echolocation pulses with operational wind turbine rotors. The aim of this research is to identify the reasons for and help mitigate bat collision fatalities associated with wind turbines.
Chloe is also involved with research into small mammal vocalisation, and has previously worked with the medical physics ultrasound team at Leicester Royal Infirmary, assisting with research in transcranial Doppler techniques to investigate the phenomenon of 'small vessel knock'.
