Continuing professional development

We offer numerous Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses each year. These courses are advantageous to employers and employees because:

  • they provide access to university facilities and expertise
  • they initiate improvements in business / individual knowledge and skills
  • employees are only away from the workplace for short periods, usually one week.
  • each course is linked to a Postgraduate qualification

Each of our short courses is a module on one or more of our MSc Programmes (see the 'postgraduate study' links in the main navigation). If a course is taken with assessment, successful delegates can gain module credits towards a Postgraduate qualification.

Entry requirements

In order to get the most from our courses, you need to be a science or engineering graduate, or equivalent who is working in a relevant industry.
