Christina Troup (Information management and Business Studies. Graduated 2007)

My degree from Loughborough in Information Management and Business Studies is certainly proving to be useful in my job - I graduated in 2007 and am now working for Cord Promotions in Burnham, Buckinghamshire. They are an experiential marketing agency, which specialise in promoting mainly FMCG and alcohol brands across the UK.

I am an Account Executive which means that I am involved in all aspects of putting together a campaign. My jobs range from conducting mystery shops, collating data, getting supplier quotes, liaising with event organisers, assisting on event load days through to attending the event myself. At present I am in the process of developing a new Event Database in readiness for 2008.

Various modules included in my degree, such as Marketing, Knowledge Management and Database Design, are proving to be useful in my new role. The course, as well as the overall Loughborough experience, has given me an invaluable foundation from which to build my future career in Marketing.
