Interests and experience

After completing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Economics in France, I worked in a number of academic libraries in Italy, Australia and the UK. Through the various positions I have held in Public Services and Collection Management/Development, I gained a sound understanding of library services and practices. I chose to complete this professional experience, and broaden my knowledge of the library sector, by working towards a Master's degree in Information and Library Management at Loughborough University, which I successfully completed gaining a distinction in 2009.

I have worked as a Research Associate at LISU since 2009. During this time I have been involved in a number of projects. These have included:

• Scoping Public Libraries' Activities in the area of Health and Well-being
• Evaluation of access to research information content for researchers outside their home institution
• JISC study on e-journal licences in machine-readable format
• PEER project – behavioural study of researchers’ attitudes and opinions towards open access repositories

My research interests include:

• Academic libraries services and management
• Open access repositories
• Scholarly communication
