All of our students have the opportunity to spend time studying abroad as part of the Erasmus+ Exchange Programme. They can study for one semester at a partner university followed by a 6 month work placement during Year 3 of their degree course. Successful completion leads to an additional award upon graduation called the Diploma in International Studies (DIntS).
The School currently has exchange links with five partner universities across Europe which allows Loughborough Design School students to spend a part of their third year studying at one of the following universities:
- Bergische Universitat, Germany
- Delft University of Technology, Netherlands
- Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway
- Middle East Technical University, Turkey
- Politechnico Di Milano, Italy
Throughout the application process and duration of a students student abroad and work placement they will be supported by the School. They will be allocated a visiting academic tutor who will be in touch with you on a regular basis.
The Design School considers exchange opportunities to be of great value to the students themselves and both study and work abroad opportunities are considered to be key in preparing our graduates for the global workplace.
Please contact our international exchange co-ordinator, Professor Andrew Morris for further information.
