University Teacher (Mechanics/Mechanical Principles for Design)

Osei has worked in various industrial sectors, ranging from field-service engineering to product research and development. He made a decision to pursue a career in design/engineering education by successfully attaining a PGCE from the University of Wolverhampton, where he also achieved QTS from the General Teaching Council (GTC) shortly afterwards. Osei worked in various secondary schools, teaching design and technology (product design, resistant Materials, and graphic products) and engineering from key stages 3 to 5 under different examinations awarding bodies (AQA/Edexcel/OCR).

In 2009, Osei moved to the Further Education sector as a lecturer of engineering. He has been involved with the pedagogy and curriculum development of various modules/units on HNC/Ds engineering courses, FDSc/BSc Mechanical & Manufacturing engineering courses in partnership with Oxford Brookes University) to further Education based programmes  (i.e. BTEC, EAL, and C&G Levels 1 - 3 engineering courses).

Osei joined the Loughborough Design School as a university teacher in applied mechanics/mechanical principles in design since the start of 2016.  He holds a HND (Eng.) Automotive Engineering, BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering, and MSc (Distinction) Engineering Design.
