Background
Patricia Carrillo graduated from the University of the West Indies in 1984 with a BSc in Civil Engineering. She then worked as a civil engineer in Trinidad for a client organisation and an engineering consulting company. In 1987 she won a British Council Scholarship to complete an MSc in Construction Management at Loughborough University of Technology. She returned to Loughborough University as a Lecturer in Construction Management in 1989. Her PhD was on Mergers and Acquisitions in the Construction Industry. She is Postgraduate Programme Director for the MSc in Construction Management and MSc in Construction Project Management programmes.
