Research Themes
Theme 1: Solid Waste Management
Research funded by a variety of bodies covers areas such as waste compression, waste separation and bioreactor designs, emissions, and sustainable waste management.
Theme 2: Flooding and Erosion
Research in this theme includes modelling the influence of intense rainfall on erosion and water quality and the analysis of dynamic boundary turbulence in river flooding.
Theme 3: Provision of Water Supplies
Research includes the interactions between pipes, soils and water borne contaminants, the improvement of water sustainability, and how social structure influences access to water and waste treatment in developing countries.
