This programme, newly introduced in 2005/6, aims to provide students from a wide range of backgrounds a firm grounding in transport policy, planning and business management to prepare them for a professional career in the transport sector. Transport is an essential part of modern life but it imposes costs to travellers and the freight sector not only in the form of money but also in terms of time spent in congestion, the wide range of environmental impacts and the suffering and damage caused by accidents. This programme aims to equip students to address these problems in developing transport policy and transport business management strategies. The programme has been designed to facilitate attendance on a full-time or part-time basis. Graduates are expected to progress to employment in transport operations, planning or consultancy, management, EU, central or local government, or further research.
Bursaries:these are available for all students (Home/EU and International) who are self-funding and therefore not sponsored by a third party.
