This unique programme has been created in partnership with Transport for London and is supported by the Association of Commuter Transport (ACT), TravelWise and UKLAST (UK Local Authority School Travel). The Programme provides an MSc with a specialism in travel planning for the first time in the UK. The programme has been structured to facilitate part-time attendance by those in employment in travel planning or other areas. The requirement will normally be for two days attendance every other week with assignments and other activities in-between.

Students will develop specialised knowledge of sustainable transport and the travel planning process and an appreciation of the implications for best practice in policy development, alongside a grounding in key related areas of marketing, business management, transport policy and methods for research and analysis. Modules will draw on relevant case study materials. The research project gives students an exciting opportunity to develop a substantive piece of research on sustainable transport or travel planning which for part-time students will normally be undertaken at their place of employment. It is expected that those graduating from this new programme will either be working or will go on to work with Local Authorities, Central Government, Transport Operators or Consultants.

Bursaries: these are available for all students (Home/EU and International) who are self-funding and therefore not sponsored by a third party.
