Dr John Connolly

After studying Languages and Linguistics at the Universities of Cambridge and Reading, Dr John Connolly pursued a research-active academic career, of which the majority was spent as a member of the Department of Computer Science at Loughborough University.

Having now retired from his full-time post, he remains a Visiting Fellow in the Department. His publications include six books and numerous research papers, spanning the years from 1974 to the present. These works have been mainly concerned with Natural Language, Speech and Communication, and the relationship between these fields and that of Computer-based Technology.
