About this event

Abstract: Knowledge is the keystone for medical image segmentation because no computer knows the anatomical information of the human. In this talk, I will introduce a fuzzy object model (FOM), which is an atlas model of specific organ in medical images. It is represented by type-I and type-II fuzzy model. To demonstrate the performance of FOM, I discuss brain extraction from neonatal MR images. The method is based on fuzzy connected image segmentation with FOM.
