Introduction

Most global organisations rely upon technology to support their business requirements. To design, build and manage new information systems for the future not only requires expertise in Computer Science, but knowledge of electronic business and how to optimise corporate information systems in order to maximise their potential. This degree programme provides a hybrid solution aimed at giving students the knowledge and skills that are essential if they are to become effective professionals in a global marketplace, or to progress immediately to a Masters degree programme or postgraduate research. The Computer Science and Computer Science and e-Business programmes share a common first year of study. An additional sandwich year of professional placement is an available option highly recommended by both the department and former students.
