Key Skills
Loughborough University encourages all students to acquire the additional Key Skills of communication, numeracy and information technology, whatever the subjects they are studying in their main curriculum. The University has no plans at the moment to make attainment of Key Skills part of the formal conditional offer of a place, but will take such qualifications into consideration where they are included on the application form. Attainment of Key Skills will certainly be taken into consideration during confirmation of offers in August in the case of applicants who have not quite met the conditions of their offer. Students who are successful in gaining a place at Loughborough University will be expected to continue to study Key Skills at a higher level whilst an undergraduate, either as stand-alone units, or through their degree programmes.
General Entrance Requirements of the University must be met. A qualification in English must be held: GCSE (grade C), 570 in TOEFL (spoken and written), 6.5 in IELTS. GCSE Mathematics at grade C+ is required.
