Why did you choose this course?

I enjoyed chemistry at school and wanted to study it more.

What attracted you to Loughborough University?

The sports facilities.

What do you enjoy most about your course?

Project and research based work.

Do you have any favourite modules?

I really like the research based modules as they give you more freedom to study what interests you.

What support have you had from the department?

We are given a personal tutor in the department to talk to about any problems, and help from the careers department.

What do you hope to do when you graduate?

I’m hoping to do a PhD in drug research. My course is really helping me to achieve this goal by teaching me the necessary research and practical skills.

What would you say to someone considering studying your course here?

Its hard work but worth it.

What do you think of the social atmosphere you can join?

Really good – I’m a member of Sno club (a snowsports club that goes on recreational trips and competitions), athletics and the cocktail society and really enjoy all of them.

What do you enjoy most about being a student here?

The freedom from home and the many opportunities to play sport.
