New grant awarded

Prof Steve Fletcher has been awarded a new grant worth £276,569 to develop next-generation mobile power sources. This grant is part of a larger £3.3m research project aimed at developing “low-carbon” electric vehicles.

The four year project, called ELEVATE, will seek to develop better materials for energy storage devices such as batteries and supercapacitors, along with better diagnostics for fuel cells. The venture will be led by Loughborough University, with support from four other universities - Warwick, Oxford, Southampton and UCL.

Many congratulations!
