UK Acoustics Network launch event

The Royal Society hosted the launch event of the newly-formed, publicly-funded UK Acoustics Network on Monday 27th November.

The Network brings together academic researchers and companies working in a broad range of fields in acoustics including noise reduction, underwater acoustics, communication, non-destructive testing and computational modelling.

Dr Valerie Pinfield, Head of Chemical Engineering at Loughborough leads the Special Interest Group in Computational Acoustics for the Network, and attended the launch event.

“Our Group aims to develop publicly-available resources and high quality training for researchers and commercial users as well as addressing the big challenges in computational acoustics.”
