In the early part of year 1 the focus will be on developing core skills (see outline table below) that emphasise the need for 'sheep dip' modules to students in the fundamentals of the biology involved in regenerative medicine. Later in year 1 and 2 emphasis will be placed upon selected transferable and translational skills. Further specialist modules will be made available through years 2-4, and be defined according to the needs of individual students. Especially in the 1st year teaching will be cohort based to assist in the development of an 'esprit de corps'. Modules will be taught at the most appropriate University site, each easily accessible via the A50 corridor; the delivery of some specialist material will be undertaken by distance learning using 'podcasts' and video conferencing facilities.
