Stunning hand-made homeware and accessories in gorgeous hand-printed fabrics

  • Amy Allwright

Trading as Amy Allwright Homeware, Amy Humphreys designs and hand-makes beautiful homeware products and accessories – pinnies, tea cosies, tea towels and mobile and tablet covers – and also fulfils bespoke commissions.

Her fabric designs are inspired by traditional English motifs – country gardens, birds and flowers – but the items themselves are simple, practical and contemporary. She currently has three collections – Evette, Elina and Secret Garden.

Amy launched her company in 2010, and joined the Studio to complement her creative talents with some business savvy.

The majority of her business is online, though she also trades via a couple of independent boutiques. Now that business is flourishing, she hopes to get her range into outlets nationwide, particularly with organisations like the National Trust.

She is also exploring the possibility of outsourcing some of the work – for example, the printing – so that she can launch a more competitively priced range.

In January 2013, Amy was one of only twelve designers to be selected to appear at Spotted – a showcase of new UK designers – at Top Drawer in London.
