Publishing at Loughborough is a subject that offers students the chance to give their arts degree a professional edge. As an interdisciplinary theme, Publishing is fully integrated in the learning community of the School. A variety of learning and enterprise initiatives linked to English, Creative Writing and Graphic Communication and Illustration support the development of practical skills and knowhow that will increase employability in publishing and cognate sectors.

The School is also home to The Lamplight Press, the UK’s first publisher which is entirely student-led. The Press provides the opportunity to gain invaluable practical experience of the publishing world, from commissioning a manuscript to bringing the book to market.
