Loughborough creative arts finalists to exhibit at three major London shows
One of the most exciting times of the year for our art courses has come around again, as their finalists prepare to show their final year work at three major creative industry exhibitions in London. These events provide our students with opportunities to showcase their talents, network with industry professionals, meet other young creatives, and be inspired. This is a particularly special year for our School and our students to be attending, as we now rank 1st for Textiles, 2nd for Graphics, and 2nd for Art & Design in the UK. If you are in London for any of these dates, why not drop by and enjoy the immense skill and inventiveness on display?
29 June - 2 July, Business Design Centre
As one of the foremost exhibitions in the UK for emerging design, New Designers is the perfect opportunity for our 3D Design and Textiles: Innovation and Design students to showcase their creativity and network with key figures in the industry. Every year 3,000 of the most promising graduates from the UK's leading design courses exhibit work across media as diverse as metalwork, furniture design, fashion, illustration, animation, and jewellery.
D&AD New Blood
5 - 7 July, The Old Truman Brewery
For over 50 years, D&AD (Design and Art Direction) has led the effort in the British creative industries to innovate, educate and promote communication design and media. Its New Blood strand works to showcase young talent in the industry including that of our Graphic Communication & Illustration students, who attend the annual New Blood exhibition to show their work alongside other leading design courses from across the UK and beyond.
7 - 11 July, The Old Truman Brewery
This annual show features over 3,000 exhibitions by graduates of the UK's leading creative higher education courses in the disciplines of art, design, illustration, photography, architecture, and interior design. As in previous years, our Fine Art students will have the opportunity to reach international audiences, but this year will also be eligible to win the new Best in Show awards, which celebrate visionary works selected by a panel of industry experts.
