Rebecca Flitcroft

My work makes visible abstract notions of God, unity and humanity.

These I connect to concrete issues of our times, which demand an immediate response. Themes surrounding human trafficking, the refugee crisis and women’s rights are not always explicit in my work but are the topics that inspire me as a visual artist. With my use of ink and mono printing, my work rejects the depiction of naturalistic life and focuses on the reflection of thoughts, visions and dreams.

Whilst my work aims to be political and it may be culturally deconstructed, it is to be read with analytical lenses which put emotional response in the primary place.
