Arts Degree Show2016

Isabella Borgers

As a designer, I am excited by stimulating briefs, portraiture and visiting museums. I have developed a personal and effective design process that allows me to engage well with projects, ensuring I am able to produce vibrant and meaningful work as often as possible.

Constantly aspiring to hone new skills and draw inspiration from unexpected places, I involve myself with many volunteer projects and work experience as well as a range of differing projects. My work is concept-driven, playful and hopes to bond audiences more closely with art and design in order to construct a more creative society for everyone. With a particular interest in photography, I like my work to connect deeply with people, contemporary issues and modern visual imagery.

My dissertation, 'The Role of Design at Nottingham Contemporary Museum with Special Reference to Audience Engagement', highlights my aspiration to someday become a curator and reflects a sincere audience-centred approach to design. I have always been innately passionate about visual arts and strive to continuously improve my technical skills by tackling challenging design briefs and experimenting with finding solutions to complex problems.
