Arts Degree Show2016

Laura McDonald

As an artist I am not purely concerned with self-expression, but am primarily interested in communication, engagement and, increasingly, story telling.

I am fascinated by the interaction between the real and the not-so-real, and am currently concentrating on work which interacts with realistic issues and environments in a novel way. Animation permits me to represent an array of social and political topics, which essentially explore the complexity of the human condition through a unique and rigorous application of the medium.
