Hub 3 technical team

Darren Browett is the Technical Tutor for the Hub 3 wood and plastics workshops and has specialist skills in a wide variety processes and methods of timber fabrication including bending and laminating plies of wood, cutting, drilling, sanding, planing and turning of materials, assembly and gluing up. Darren has further technical expertise in plastic thermoforming processes to shape of thermoplastic sheet, these include vacuum forming, line bending, drape forming and presswork. Darren also provides teaching and support for the flat bed laser.

Matthew Broughton is the technical tutor specialising in traditional and digital weave processes including jacquard. Matthew also provides teaching and support for the flat bed laser and is the School's Laser Safety Officer.

Richard Eagles is the Technical tutor in the fine metals work shop. Specialising in, fine metal techniques as well as basic metal working for small works. Plus providing small casting, aluminium, silver, gold and bronze, forging, mould making and small desktop 3D printing.    Richard assists and teaches students and staff across the School of the Arts, English and Drama and also campus-wide.
