Launched in 2013, Lamplight Press is the UK’s first student-led, non-profit publishing house. Whilst establishing a diverse catalogue of publications, the Press is providing students at Loughborough University with invaluable practical publishing experience. Find out how you can join the Press.
Lamplight Press is a student led publishing service founded in 2013. It provides students with a valuable insight into the art and craft of publishing, as well as giving writers a chance to showcase their work. All of the students who manage Lamplight Press are studying on the Publishing and English course at Loughborough University.
I enjoy working within Lamplight Press as it offers me a unique view of how all aspects of a printing press are run. Gaining publishing experience can be difficult, so having a press within the University allows students like me to get valuable hands-on experience in a supportive environment.

The first title that Lamplight Press published was an A-Z guide to student life called 'You is for University' which was developed in conjunction with the literary platform, The Student Wordsmith, and edited by Creative Writing PhD student, Sophie- Louise Hyde.
