Outline of main research interests:

External Flows:

Experimental and computational studies of external flows with regards to passive and active methods of flow control.

  • Passive and active techniques of noise reduction of modern civil aircraft
  • Active and passive methods of trajectory control of re-entry vehicles

Internal Flows:

  • Analysis of performance of gas turbines with components prone to manufacturing uncertainties. Experimental and computational studies

Principle measurement techniques are 2-D and 3-D time-resolved PIV, pressure and balance measurements. Computational modelling includes RANS, URANS and DES simulations.
