Project 3 - Automated Generation of Fault Tree models

During the design stage of the development of a new system, automated fault tree construction would produce results a lot sooner than the manual process and hence be highly beneficial in order to modify the system design based on identified weakest areas. In this project a methodology is developed, implemented in computer software, which will accept as input a system description and thereby systematically generate a fault tree. The system description will be in a form currently used in industry, such as, System Modelling Language (SysML). The other main aspect of this project is the generation of a fault tree systematically following set rules and procedures and the visual representation of the tree.
