Research groups
- Applied Aerodynamics
Background :
- First Degree in Physics from Bharathidasan University , India
- MS (research) from Indian Institute of technology, Madras, India
- PhD from Queen Mary, University of London
Research Interest
- Experimental Aerodynamics – Flow study for steady and Unsteady flow in Gas turbine Combustors
- Experimental combustion – Turbulent and Unsteady combustion relevant to Gas turbine and IC engines
- Experimental Heat Transfer
- Development of sensor and instrumentation for flame, flow and heat transfer
Current Activities
Fundamental understanding of aerodynamics and fuel air mixing properties of various Low cost fuel injectors. Fuel-air mixing properties are measured using CO2 gas tracing technique.
Award
- Sugden Prize (2007) for the Best paper with most significant contribution to combustion research in UK.
