- Senior Lecturer in Aircraft Aerodynamics.
- Senior Project Supervisor at Aircraft Research Association, Bedford (1983 – 1989).
- PhD in Aerodynamics of Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAV) at Cranfield Institute of Technology. Awarded 1984.
Current Responsibilities
Teaching includes modules in:
- Aircraft Flight Dynamics and Control (with Dr W Chen),
- Aircraft Stability and Flight Test,
- Aircraft Systems and Performance (with Mr G Tearle).

Research Interests and Activities
General research interests are experimental aerodynamics, aircraft performance and aircraft flight dynamics.
Current and recent research activities include:
- The aerodynamic effects of battle damage and the influence on aircraft survivability.
- Wind tunnel design and the development of novel and improved wind tunnel test techniques.
- Aircraft icing.
- Performance assessment of thrust vectored aircraft.
- Hail and foreign object ingestion of aircraft engines.
