Alumni join England Swimming Commonwealth Games Team

Alumni Ian Hulme and Mel Marshall have been named as coaching staff in the Team England swimming squad for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Current Loughborough University Swimming Performance Coach, Ian Hulme graduated from Loughborough in 2006 with a degree in Sports Science and Physics.

He joins the coaching squad alongside Mel Marshall, alumna and multiple-time ‘British Coach of the Year’ winner. Mel is the Lead Coach at the National Centre for Swimming, based in Loughborough. Mel graduated with a degree in Applied Sports Science in 2009.

Also included in the latest squad announcement are Elliot Clogg and Jarvis Parkinson, both Loughborough-based swimmers training full-time at the National Centre under Mel Marshall’s lead.
