Young Woman Engineer of the Year title awarded to alumna
Dr Ozak Esu has been named as the Institution of Engineering and Technology’s (IET) Young Woman Engineer of the Year.
She recently jointly won the IET’s Mike Sargeant Career Achievement Medal for Young Professionals, and was named as one of The Telegraph’s ‘Top 50 Women in Engineering under 35’.
On winning the award, Ozak said:
“It feels fantastic - I am truly honoured to receive the Award. I hope to use this platform to promote engineering as an exciting and creative career choice for young people.”
Ozak is an Electrical Engineer at Cundall. She graduated from Loughborough with a PhD (2016) and BEng (2011) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
